RE-SIT FOR FAILED EXAMINATION

A candidate who had failed in one or more of the examination parts can apply to re-sit for the failed component(s) of the examination within a year from the date of the first examination

Terms & conditions:

  • The candidate shall apply to re-sit the failed part of the examination within 12 months from the date of their first examination.
  • The full examination fee shall be payable to re-sit the examination and without the need to attend any pre-requisite training course.
  • Valid for all IMM certification examination except for those related to IMM-SSPC and IMM-JWES certification schemes.

PROCEDURES ON APPEALS RELATING TO CERTIFICATION

  • IMM has established an appeals system designed to handle all cases in a constructive, impartial, and timely manner.
  • We are committed to receiving, reviewing, and making fair decisions on appeals related to application rejections, examination results, certification or recertification decisions.

APPEALS PROCESS PROCEDURE

  • The appellant shall send in writing (by official correspondence or via email to the addresses listed below) his appeal on the decision made by IMM no later than 30 calendar days from the date of notification of the decision. The candidate or certified person shall provide the reasons with supporting documentation, if any, for the decision deemed improper.

  • Upon receipt of an appeal, the IMM Secretariat shall gather all evidence in the case and refer the matter to another examiner (not to use the same assigned examiner for that particular exam) for a final outcome of the appeal. IMM may invite an expert with relevant knowledge and skills to participate in the review process.
  • The review outcome of the appeal submitted shall then be communicated in writing to the appellant by the IMM Secretariat not later than 45 calendar days from the date of submission of the appeal.

All applicants or candidates of IMM Competency Certification schemes have a right to:

  • Be informed of your rights and responsibilities as an applicant
  • Choose your certification agency
  • Be treated with courtesy, respect, and impartiality
  • Be tested with measures that meet professional standards
  • Know in advance of the submission process
  • Know when the results will be available to you
  • Have your test administered and your test results interpreted by appropriately qualified individuals
  • Have your application results kept confidential to the extent allowed by law
  • Appeal against the rejection of your application
  • Appeal against the results of certification
  • Present concerns or inquiries about the testing process to the IMM Secretariat
